cover up

I recently made a swimsuit cover up.

 

I used Caron spa yarn which is 25% bamboo

I srated foloowing Carons Lapa patterns.

But right from the beginning there were mistakes.

So it the problem with free patterns. ::sigh::

I got through the yoke and gave up completely on the pattern and just did a simple mesh for the skirt.

My husband was bugging me to make more in different colors.

And as a friend put it he "has a few women he wants to slip in it."

So, i spent a few hours trying to find another coverup that hopefully was easier to follow and I came 

 

across the monokini. Ill make the next post about the patters i spent many hours last night collecting.

hats hats hats

hello kitty hats for days!

I got a request from a friend to make a tiny hello kitty hat for her niece.

She took the hat with her to work and showed it off.

That prompted 4 requests for tiny hello kitty hats.

This was nice because it helps me really get my patter and sizing down in a chart.

I used a finer yarn that I usually do because I wanted a pure white this time. 

AND this yarn was 50% off. I like the way it crochets up. 

It gives me notes on medium 4 yearn and regular worsted weight yarn now.

Today I made....

Here is what I worked on today.

Slouchy beanie with a granny flower at the crown.

I am going to make another and keep track of the pattern.

I'll post it if I think it makes sense. :D

Lapa

I started working on a new project.

Lapa - a caron pattern

I am going to style it at a swim suit cover up.

In May downtown Riverside is having a fashion show for the shops.

My things are in the shop Soul Dout and will be shown then. :D
